Hi there! I’m Jodie, a playful and passionate Author-Illustrator and Designer based in the East Riding of Yorkshire. I am also a colour enthusiast and mental health and wellbeing advocate.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern from Leeds Arts University, graduating in 2017. Since then, I've had the pleasure of designing and illustrating within a range of industries, from Greeting Cards and Giftwrap to Children’s Fashion. Most recently, I’ve entered the world of publishing with my debut children’s picture book Bipolar Blob, which I authored and illustrated for Sweet Cherry Publishing. My work is often described as whimsical, nature-inspired, and character-rich.
My design journey has taken me from creating for well-known brands like Clintons and International Cards & Gifts to collaborating with indie children's fashion brands like Baby Arlo Studio and Milk Thistle Kids. I’m deeply passionate about mental health awareness, particularly Bipolar Disorder, and I aim to infuse creativity with meaningful conversations.
In addition to my creative work, I also host art workshops for wellbeing that both children and adults in East Yorkshire and Hull can enjoy. For more details on 'Happy Doodles' click here – 'Creative Workshops'.
When I’m not creating, you’ll find me at cozy cafés with a coffee in hand or enjoying walks to the park with my lovely daughter, Edith. I’m always up for trying new things, but at heart, I love creating bright, fun, and vibrant illustrations that bring joy.
