"The children loved our session with Happy Doodles! Talking about our emotions and how we feel about starting school - we drew colours around ourselves relating to the emotions of the colour monster and Jodie’s book 'bipolar blob’. We are really looking forward to having another session with happy doodles in the future! Thank you Jodie" - Brambley Lodge Pre-School, June 2025

Vision Statement:
Happy Doodles is dedicated to using creativity to support mental health, social connection, and self-expression. It aims to bring art workshops and pop-up events directly to the local community through private events, schools, community spaces, therapeutic settings across Hull and East Yorkshire. It will champion creativity as a tool for connection, expression, and wellbeing, no matter your background, or postcode!
Art helped me through some of the darkest times in my life. Now, I want to bring the joy, peace, and power of creativity into local spaces where it’s needed most.
My mission is to make art accessible and inclusive by offering therapeutic, wellbeing-focused workshops in underserved communities, collaborating with local organisations to strengthen community ties, using creativity to reduce isolation and anxiety.

Target Audience:
As well as the local communities through private events such as childrens parties and school holiday workshops, I’d love to work with primary and secondary schools to deliver mental health and PSHE-focused workshops, as well as support creative enrichment in colleges and sixth forms. I'm also interested in partnering with mental health organisations, along with children’s centres, family hubs and playgroups. Working with local charities, and participating in community festivals, markets, and events is also a key part of my goal to build inclusive, accessible, and joyful creative spaces for all.
